Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the website located at www.thechestnuttreehouse.com or enrolling your child in our programs. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Parent," "Guardian," or "User") and Chestnut Treehouse II, LLC ("The Chestnut Treehouse," "we," "our," or "us"), a Georgia limited liability company operating childcare centers in Lithonia and Lawrenceville, Georgia.

By accessing our website, scheduling a tour, or enrolling your child in our programs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Childcare Services

The Chestnut Treehouse provides licensed childcare and early education services at our Lithonia and Lawrenceville campuses. Our services include Infant Care, Toddler Care, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and School-Age Care programs. All programs operate Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM.

Enrollment in our programs is subject to availability, completion of all required enrollment documentation, payment of applicable fees, and our sole discretion to accept or decline enrollment based on program capacity and the best interests of the children in our care.

2. Enrollment and Registration

  • A non-refundable registration fee of $100 per child ($50 for each additional sibling) is due at the time of enrollment to secure your child's spot.
  • A non-refundable annual curriculum fee of $110 per child is due at enrollment and each program year thereafter.
  • All required documents must be submitted prior to or on the first day of attendance, including a valid Georgia Immunization Certificate (Form 3231), birth certificate, health physical, and emergency contact information.
  • Enrollment is not confirmed until all paperwork is complete and all required fees are paid.
  • We reserve the right to disenroll a child at any time for reasons including but not limited to: non-payment of tuition, failure to provide required documentation, or conduct that poses a risk to the safety of other children or staff.

3. Tuition and Payment Policy

  • Tuition is due weekly, in advance, by Friday of the preceding week for the following week of care.
  • We accept credit card, debit card, and CAPS (Childcare and Parent Services) subsidy payments only. We do not accept cash or personal checks.
  • A late payment fee of $35 will be assessed for any tuition not received by the due date.
  • A returned payment / chargeback fee of $36 will be assessed for any returned payments or disputed charges.
  • Tuition is charged regardless of a child's attendance, holidays, or center closures due to inclement weather, unless otherwise communicated in writing by management.
  • Accounts with a balance more than two (2) weeks past due may result in suspension of childcare services until the account is brought current.
  • Drop-in care is available at a daily rate by appointment only and must be paid in advance.

4. Late Pickup Policy

Our centers close at 6:30 PM Monday through Friday. A late pickup fee of $2.00 per minute per child will be charged for any pickup after 6:30 PM. This fee is due at the time of pickup and is non-negotiable. Repeated late pickups may result in disenrollment.

5. Withdrawal and Termination

  • A two-week (14-day) written notice is required for voluntary withdrawal from our programs. Tuition is owed for the full two-week notice period regardless of attendance.
  • Registration and curriculum fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • We reserve the right to terminate enrollment immediately, without notice, in cases involving safety concerns, abuse, non-payment, or violation of our policies.

6. Health and Illness Policy

  • Children must be free of fever (below 100.4°F), vomiting, diarrhea, and contagious illness to attend. A child sent home ill must remain home for a minimum of 24 hours after symptoms resolve without medication.
  • Parents/guardians must notify the center immediately if their child has been diagnosed with a communicable disease.
  • All immunization records must be current and on file. Children who are not up to date on required immunizations may be excluded from care during disease outbreaks as required by Georgia law.
  • Medication may only be administered by staff with a completed, signed Medication Authorization Form. We do not administer over-the-counter medications without written authorization.

7. Authorized Pickup and Security

For the safety of all children, we operate a coded entry system. Only individuals listed on the child's authorized pickup list will be permitted to pick up a child. A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all pickups.

We will not release a child to any individual not on the authorized pickup list, regardless of their relationship to the child, without prior written authorization from the parent or legal guardian. In cases of custody disputes, a copy of the current court order must be on file.

8. Photo and Media Release

By enrolling your child, you grant The Chestnut Treehouse permission to photograph and/or video record your child for use in our marketing materials, website, and social media, unless you explicitly opt out in writing at the time of enrollment. Photos will never be shared with third parties for commercial purposes without separate written consent.
